WHAT ARE PASS-ALONG MATERIALS?
An educated client is a happy client. We all know that our clients don't just need resumes to be successful in their job search -- they need structure, systems, and additional resources to facilitate their job search. But as a solopreneur, you don't have time to create all the materials yourself that are needed to support your client's job search.

Wouldn't it be nice to have access to articles, checklists, and special reports that you could put your name on and share with your client? Resources that will help them be more effective in their job search -- but that you won't have to take hours to create?

Now you can!

Pass-Along Materials (PAMs) are brandable content you can use with your resume writing clients. They are articles and short reports provided in Microsoft Word format that you can simply stick your name on and use "as is," or edit and/or rewrite into new content. Learn more here.

HOW CAN I USE THEM WITH MY CLIENTS?
• Create a bonus guide to give to your resume clients to help them set up their LinkedIn account (they get it as a bonus with the purchase of their resume package; send with document drafts or final documents).
• Excerpt or reprint the content in your e-newsletter or print newsletter (in a series of articles)
• Create an autoresponder series with key tips and concepts (I've turned this content into an 8-part lesson series that I sell in membership subscription format)
• Publish the information (or excerpt it, depending on the length) on your blog
• Give away the report in exchange for capturing the prospect's email address (opt-in bonus).
• Sell the report (I recommend a minimum of $10)
• Gives the articles or reports to referral partners and allow them to publish them, with your contact information at the end. (For example, if you partner with an association, this is a report they can provide to their members as a resource.)
• Turn it into a print booklet.

  • LinkedIn Profile Delivery Document. This is a step-by-step document to help your client take the Headline and Summary YOU wrote and update their own LinkedIn profile. (Teach your clients to fish, don't fish for them. Giving this document to your clients instead of logging into their LinkedIn profile for them will also help keep you from getting YOUR LinkedIn account suspended!)
  • How to Give -- and Get -- LinkedIn Recommendations. This guide teaches clients what to put in the LinkedIn Recommendations they write, and how to request Recommendations from people they know.
  • LinkedIn Critique Form. Use this critique form to objectively assess a prospect's or client's LinkedIn profile -- this critique form is a great client attraction tool.
  • LinkedIn Resources -- tip sheets and guides, including "7 Reasons Why You Should Be on LinkedIn," "4 Things You Must Do On LinkedIn," "Don't Make These Mistakes on LinkedIn," "Tips for Your LinkedIn Profile Photo," "LinkedIn Profile Checklist," and "Jobseeker's Guide to Writing an Effective LinkedIn Profile." These resources help clients understand why they should be on LinkedIn, what mistakes they shouldn't make on LinkedIn, tips for improving their profile photo, and more.
